Mike Crook: A Mad Pigeon Fan?
DEAR READERS: I can't believe I'm spending Valentine's Day dealing with this knucklehead. But, I am curious how he knew I'd posted the letter, considering it'd been up for only a few hours. Heh... perhaps Mr. Crook's actually a regular reader of mine?
For those of you who have no idea who or what I'm talking about, I HIGHLY recommend you read these first:

That said, check this [PIGEONED] out:
Thank you "Mad Pigeon".
Once again, you've done me a favor.
Now that you've knowingly and maliciously published a document that is confidential (neither side has filed it withthe court...talk to Jason Schultz at the EFF, he'll tell ya) you have given me grounds to file a motion to strike the settlement agreement and take this to trial. Did you not notice something wrong when you posted something that isn't even on EFF or Diehl's site? Stupid, but you did me a favor!
Thank you, thank you! In your effort to break news, you just made things better for me!
You ROCK!
Sincerely,
Michael Crook
The Mad Pigeon: Actually, I timed the damn thing to post tomorrow afternoon, but Typepad seems to have problems with timing posts... *sigh* so much for the wonders of modern technology.
I actually cited you and your... "efforts" in class today to illustrate points on freedom of speech. Surprisingly you're better known than I thought--at least 20 students used your name and the word "tool" in the same sentence.
But I digress... your previous efforts at using the law to your advantage already got you into enough hot water, but I've taken the post down in all fairness to the legal process. Is the pigeon not merciful?
BUT, I've also forwarded all this to Mr. Diehl for his use and have inquired about the true confidentiality of the document. He seems to know a helluva lot more about the law than you do, so I'll trust his judgement.
Now if you'll excuse me, it's Valentine's Day, and I have someone besides my right hand to share the evening with.
Sincerely,
The Mad Pigeon (dare you top click it!)
P.S: As much as your wasting my time, I must admit publically savaging you is like, as MOGS says, watching a clown on fire. It's just always so wretchedly funny no matter how many times you see it!

Typical Crook antics...

While I'm not totally familiar with the nature of the dispute. Your site throws out an RSS feed. It's built into typepad most likely. I get the Pidge delivered to my desktop. Mine is configured to check on two hour intervals, but you could set it up to look as frequently as you like - if you don't care about bandwidth.
Point being - if someone is just a little savvy they don't need to be a regular reader. I checked and I have this in my RSS inbox, even though it only leads to a 404 not found.
Anyway - you said you were curious how - thats probably it.

I realize now, that it should also be pointed out that the above is *all* I can see through an RSS reader for your site. The actual body of the post will forever be a mystery to me. Indeed, unless you caught it in he few hour window, then you have no idea of the contents of that document, just the title.
Cheers.
