Any list of this sort would have to include The Diary of the Mad Pigeon. The Pigeon and MOGS are a couple of USAF types that simply defy the liberal stereo type of the dumb GI.  If you aren't thinking after you leave the Mad Pigeon, you haven't got a brain to think with in the first place.

As part of the award, I must bestow the same honor on five other blogs (a real "people's award," if you will).  I'm at a slight disadvantage, though, since I'm not a regular reader of other blogs--I often find once I find and write on source material I don't have the time to peruse the rest of the blogosphere.  Indeed, that's why my blogroll is so short.

That said, another reason's my blogroll is short because I have to connect with the other writer in some way, and in a world of millions of blogs, the ones under "Fellow Malcontents" are the one's I'll read when time affords me the chance.   But sincewe can't make up our minds, MOGS and I are cheating and sumbmitting a list of 7 instead of 5!

I didn't include the big sites (Volokh, Outside the Beltway...) who I'm assuming off the bat won't participate.  In addition, Mondo Canuckistani, Violence Worker!, and Planck's Constant have already won the award.  Sadly, I really wanted to nominate Chairman Tao, but his site suddenly disappeared a few months back.
